پروفیسر ضیاء المظہری کی لکھی ہوئی ایک اردو نظم اسرارِ محبت “محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے کے عنوان سے پرل کانٹینینٹل ہوٹل کراچی میں کرافتھ 2018 کے گالا ڈنر کے دوران پیش کی گئی تھی۔ اس پروگرام کا اہتمام اوفتھلمولوجیکل سوسائٹی آف پاکستان کراچی نے کیا تھا۔. صدر او ایس پی کراچی نے ڈاکٹر ضیاء المظہری کو گالا ڈنر کے دوران اپنی نظم سنانے کی دعوت دی۔ جو کہ حاضرین نے بہت پسند کی۔ فی البدیہہ انگریزی ترجمہ بھی پیش کیا گیا تھا کہ سامعین میں بہت سارے امریکی اور یورپی امراض چشم کے ماہرمہمان موجود تھے۔
An Urdu poem written by Professor Zia ul Mazhry was presented during Gala Dinner during Kraophth 2018 at PC Karachi. The event was organized by the Ophthalmological Society of Pakistan Karachi. President OSP Karachi invited Dr Mazhry to recite his poem during Gala Dinner. Ex-tempo English translation was offered because a lot of American and European Guest Eye Specialists were there in the Audience.

محبت یوں نہیں کرتے

جیسے خوشنما تتلی
کسی خوش رنگ صبح کو

Like a beautiful butterfly,
On a colorful morning,
Circles around the flower

جیسے خوش خرامی سے
نسیمِ صبح گلشن سے
چرا کے خوشبو لاتی ہے

Like a light morning breeze,
With elegance and grace,
Steals fragrance from the gardens

جیسے بلبلِ شیریں
کسی شاداب ٹہنی پہ
کوئی نغمہ سناتی ہے

Like a sweet nightingale,
Seated on a lush green offshoot,
Sings a nocturnal melody

محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے وادیِ گل میں
محوِ رقص پھولوں میں
بھنورا گنگناتا ہے
محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے

Like in a flower vale,
Among the dancing blooms,
A beetle bombinates
That’s how it goes
محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے جاں فزا خوشبو
دھیرے دھیرے چپکے سے
فضا میں پھیل جاتی ہے
محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے
This is how one loves
Like the fragrance of life,
Secretly and slowly,
Spreads into the air
That’s how it goes
محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے سرمئی بادل
چمکتے گرم سورج کو
آ کے ڈھانپ لیتا ہے
محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے

Like a gray flying cloud,
Shows up and shadows,
The blazing bright sun
That’s how it goes
محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے خوش گلو گائیک
نغمہ و غزل کوئی
دھیمے سر میں گاتا ہے
محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے
This is how one loves
Like an angelic singer,
In a low fine tone,
Sings a chant or an ode
That’s how it goes
محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے ساز کی تاریں
کبھی مضراب سے یونہی
مطرب چھیڑ دیتا ہے
محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے
This is how one loves
Like a bard softly plucks,
With a delicate plectrum,
The strings of a guitar
That’s how it goes
محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے دامنِ کوہ میں
بہت شفاف و پاکیزہ
جوئے آب بہتی ہے
محبت ایسے ہوتی ہے

Like in the foothills,
With clear and clean water,
A rivulet flows

محبت ایسے کرتے ہیں
جیسے رحمتِ باراں
پھوارِ نرم کی صورت
تسلسل سے برستی ہے

Like the mercy of rain,
In the shape of a light drizzle,
Falls down with continuance

جیسے چاند راتوں میں
اپنے چاند کی جانب
چکوری سفر کرتی ہے

Like in the full-moon nights,
An infatuated chukar,
Ascends towards the moon

جیسے چاند کی مورت
کبھی ندیا کے پانی میں
ابھر کے ڈوب جاتی ہے

Like the moon’s reflection,
In a crystal-clear lake,
Appears and then vanishes

جیسے ضوئے مہتابی
بنا حدّت فضاؤں کو
منور کرتی جاتی ہے

Like the mellow moonlight,
With no heat at all,
Lightens the surround

جیسے کوئی چنگاری
جلتی ہے نہ بجھتی ہے
بس سلگتی جاتی ہے

Like an ember in the ashes,
Neither singes nor smothers,
Yet keeps smoldering

جیسے شمع جلتی ہے
کسی کی یاد میں آنسو
ساری شب بہاتی ہے

Remembering someone lost,

جنابِ مظہریؔ صاحب
