عید الفطر ۲۰۲۱ کے پر مسرت موقع پر تمام اہلِ اسلام کو عید مبارک
جیسا کہ آپ جانتے ہیں کہ چاند کی رویت پاکستان ہمیشہ سے مختلف پہلوؤں سے سنجیدہ اور غیر سنجیدہ بحث کا موضوع رہی ہے۔ اسی تناظر میں لکھی ہوئی نظم دیدارِ قمر آپ کی خدمت میں پیش کر رہے ہیں۔ یہ نظم نوائے وقت میگزین کے سنڈے ایڈیشن میں ۹ مئی ۲۰۲۱ کو شائع ہو چکی ہے ۔ ڈاکٹر ضیا ء المظہری کی اپنی آواز میں ویڈیو بھی آپ کی نذر ہے امید آپ کو پسند آئے گی۔
پروفیسر ڈاکٹر ضیا ء المظہری کی کتاب چشمِ بینا سے لی گئی نظم "اِستحکامِ ملت" روزنامہ نوائے وقت کے سنڈے میگزین میں 22 نومبر 2020 کو شائع ہوئی۔ یہ نظم ولیم رالف ایمرسن کی نظم ( اے نیشن سٹرینتھ ) سے ماخوذ ہے۔ اس مختصر نظم میں شاعر ایک قوم کی کامیابی کا راز افشا کرتا ہے۔ کسی قوم کی کامیابی اس کے افراد سے ہوتی ہے نہ کہ سونے ، زیورات ، تلواروں اور بندوقوں سے۔

And its foundations strong?
What makes it mighty to defy
The foes that round it throng?
ایک ملت کے ستون کیسے ہوتے ہیں بُلند
کیسے ہوتی ہے اساس استوار و ارجُمند
جب ہجوم دُشمناں ہر طرف سے گھیرلے
ناقابل تسخیر ملت، کونسا جوہر کرے
It is not gold. Its kingdoms grand
Go down in battle shock;
Its shafts are laid on sinking sand,
Not on abiding rock.
ذر نہیں ہے قوم کے، باقی رہنے کی دلیل
شان و شوکت جنگ میں، ہوتی آئی ہے ذلیل
پایہ ہائے ذر تو قائم، ہوں پھسلتی ریت پر
پائیدار و مستقل تو، سنگ خارا ہے مگر
Is it the sword? Ask the red dust
Of empires passed away;
The blood has turned their stones to rust,
Their glory to decay.
سُرخ مٹی سے چلو، آؤ تو پوچھیں ذرا
شہنشاہی کی ضمانت ،تیغ دیتی ہے بھلا
قصہ ماضی ہوئے، عظمتوں کے رنگ سب
خاک و خوں اور زنگ سے، آلودہ خشت و سنگ سب
And is it pride? Ah, that bright crown
Has seemed to nations sweet;
But God has struck its lustre down
In ashes at his feet.
فخر و تکبر کیا ہوا، تابانیِء تاج و کلاہ
دلکش و شیریں بہت، قوم کی اس پہ نگاہ
اک الوہی ضرب نے، بے نور کر پھینکا اِسے
راکھ کر کے اپنے قدموں، کے تلے روندا اسے
Not gold but only men can make
A people great and strong;
Men who for truth and honour's sake
Stand fast and suffer long.
ذر نہیں افراد ہی سے، قوم کی تعمیر ہے
پائیداری، استواری، عظمت و توقیر ہے
صدق و شرف جن کو ضیاءؔ، ہو مقدم دائمی
ثابت و ایستادہ و صابر جو پیہم آدمی
Brave men who work while others sleep,
Who dare while others fly...
They build a nation's pillars deep
And lift them to the sky.
ڈوبے ہوں غافل نیند میں، یہ مرد ہوں محوِ عمل
مفرور ہوں ڈرپوک جب، جراء ت پہ قائم یہ رجل
مضبوط و محکم اور عمیق، رکھیں ملت کے ستوں
اور عروج و ارتفاع میں، آسماں بھی سرنگوں

Alhumdulillah 30th Reunion of AIMC Class 1990 successfully with excellent attendance in all collective events, despite all odds and current changing national and international circumstances.
We are truly grateful for the core of my heart to all of the classmates to spare time from their busy schedules to make this event a success.
We are especially thankful to all friends who traveled from abroad in current circumstances, bearing the expenses and taking initiative against all odds due to coronavirus.
